What does Jake Boyd have planned for this fall; making adequate preparation for his new project, Becoming Nancy, and giving us some wonderful performances in Wicked tour? Boyd is very familiar with the Fiyero Pants having played the Winky Prince on the second national tour. "We had an incredible matinee show," he said in a recent interview. "The pants were tailored to be extra tight, so, that was all the signal I needed to return to the Gershwin."
Boyd has been with Wicked for quite some time now before finding himself on the Great White Way. "It all began in 2015 in Portland. The amazing thing about it is that I had a chance to play at my home," he said. "Alabama is the home of football, but if you look deeply, you will come across the immense talent and art there."
Boyd didn't find his love for the theater all at once. He first had to try his hands in a couple of this before he found himself on Broadway. "My parents wanted me to play sports, but it wasn't what I wanted to do," he said. "The first time I went on a field trip with my school was to see Snoopy! The Musical, and immediately I knew that's what I wanted to do.
Boyd sometimes finds himself on the other side of the stage, and in one or two occasions, he has even waited in line at the stage door after the show. "I ran into Daniel Radcliffe while doing the whole stage door thing after seeing Lifespan of a Fact. Although I didn't take photos, I loved the fact that I had a chance to see him firsthand."
